Dong-hyuk gets a job as a night watchman for the iron scrap store owned by Song In-kab. He and the orphan Duk-sun live in the iron scrap store night guard's room. Mun-cheol and Hak-gyu ask and get permission from In-kab to move into the night guard room too. Their girlfriends, Sin-ja, In-suk, and Young-ok, help get the boys jobs. Dong-hyuk gets another job in a bar. Mun-cheol gives massages at a public bath. Hak-gyu gives massages at a hair salon. However, the guys are socially inexperienced so they are soon fired. At In-kab's advice, they live honest lives by selling bean sprouts and bean curd as well as deliver milk and newspapers. Dong-hyub passes the first round of the bar exam.
